    What’s up literature section lurkers.

I’ve been getting into writing heavily again because of life stress & other issues (anxiety attacks on mondays are fun!) and I felt I should take the time to explain the theme of what I’ve been writing, as well as gather the opinions of some of those who read them.

I tried to dig into it in Marksman as a man alone, abandoned, hunted by the government, who must overcome incredibly unforgiving odds to succeed. That’s what the theme in Mission File #1 was.

When I had a few friends (plus a teacher) proofread it, immediately a few questions were raised. What kind of soldier are these guys? What training? Background? What’s the existing theme? It feels like a chapter out of a book or scene from a movie, and that a lot is left unexplained on what’s got the characters into the situation they’re in, and the second file (yet unreleased, under reconstruction for the entire story) helps build on that.

My question to you guys is would another series of books building upon the backstory be appreciated? Or should I just post stories as I develop them with no specific order or plot line? I’m more concerned with what you guys would enjoy.

Post below, not leaving your thoughts, negative or positive, doesn’t help me at all. All opinions are respected and welcome.

Ice Bear says maybe the soldier can be a happy go lucky soldier who as a child played a lot of fps games where the character is a super soldier essentially. Then when he enlists into the army he realizes how he is not a super soldier and is just trying to survive. He also receives very basic training and does not make it into any elite squadrons. But then on after abandoning his squad he comes back and saves a team gaining a purple heart award and being invited to a better squad.

Good stories, no matter what, are a fun read. In my opinion, the more detail you add to the plot, characters, and backstory the better your stories will become. I haven't read your stories, but in general if you find yourself asking questions about the plot and character development, you should add more detail to get a deeper engagement out of your reader. Looking forward to reading your work!
