    Elf’s old wind element was very useful and is generally considered to be better than the new wind. Here’s a few ideas to reincorporate it.

    Option 1
    Replace current wind with old wind. Current wind is either hot garbage or just plain annoying, and only does an elf well on defense. Old wind was capable of assisting an elf on both offense and defense, along with better fitting in with the nature of the class.

    Option 2
    Add an overcharge mechanic. Of course, the cooldown on the current wind is helpful, but the stun is still rather potent. This option would make old wind the normal ability for an arrow coming from wind element; however, charging the bow for an extra few seconds would activate overcharge, meaning it fires a vortex instead. Because you “overcharged” your bow, it would enter a brief cooldown like it does now.

    Option 3
    Pressing your drop key would switch between old and new wind element.

    This option doesn't sound very convenient. In my opinion, there should be just one element, not two of the same element, to reduce confusion.

    Although I don't play elf, I think option 1 would be the best in this case.

    New wind can’t even help much on defence with the new “too close to flag” restrictions on it unless your recovering.

    interesting with overcharge

    or what if we buff/fix vortex as in increasing its area of effect and potency, so it would not only effect horizontal but also vertical movement - and it wouldnt more so drag ppl but itd actually suck them in quickly like a more powerful vortex
    – while also removing most if not all of the "too close to flag" restriction (doing so would at least let it be used more on off, but def elf could be overpowered... the old wind at least didnt have that problem)

    unless the restriction only stands for when using vortex on/around your own flag post

    if that was done, itd be interesting to see where it stands, esp in relation to old earth element and old wind element's versatility & effectiveness

    Its better then Option 2, I think reworking the new wind element would take too much time

    I'd like to see Earth Element back, with the old vortex. Re-adding earth element would make elf more viable on def/recov, and the vortex would help on off. Adding a cool down to the earth element is probably what should have happened instead of combining it's ability with wind, but just my opinion.

    I never saw the Earth Element, so Maybe a test Phase? if its good elf can Keep it, if not earth element will be removed again?
