    Currently, it seems like killing Assassins is almost pointless. As most maps have their flagrooms close to the spawns, killing an Assassin in a flagroom literally just gives the Assassin a better opportunity to kill the flagholder/attacker, as they can come right back with their speed boost and redstone and ruin the party. And I think that needs changing.

    The idea is simple - after respawn, Assassin would not be able to use its assassinate for a certain amount of time. After measuring what it takes to get to the flag with speed boost on, I propose the time would be 5 or 6 seconds. This way, Assassin is not as powerful while recovering.

    I understand other classes will get more attention soon, but I think this is a tweak that needs to be done for better gameplay.

    Coming from a person that has played Assassin for over 3 years and got 6k+ recovs with it. Thanks for reading.

    I think it should be that when an assassin dies they cannot kill the player that killed them for a number of seconds (4-6?). This is a good idea too. +1

    sounds like a very sensible idea. Might be a bit redundant given assassin will be reworked for the 1.9 update, but nevertheless a really good short term solution to the problem. +1

    Maybe to counter assassin spawn abusing they would have to wait for the cooldown to finish regardless of them respawning themselves or not.

    Ex. An assassin just used their redstone and has to wait for the cooldown. They try to respawn themself to skip the cooldown but when they do the cooldown is still applied and they don't have their redstone. I feel like this would stop a lot of spawn abusing assassins, especially on maps like Skyworlds.
    This would make it so only medics could regenerate their redstone back without waiting for the cooldown to finish.

    I never have had much of a problem with spawn abusing assassin, probably cause i kill em anyways lol.


    Still a good idea though

    I'd rather see maps be edited so it takes less time to get from spawn to the flagroom, as ninjas respawning almost instantly would still be an issue. But this is a step forwards and would be much easier than changing a bunch of maps, so +1.

    Coming from an assassin I really like this. Seems like it would also stop players who don't really know how to use non-insta-kill classes from getting easy recovs/kills. +1

    What if the cooldown applied through death and respawn. For example, if it takes 15 seconds to get your assassinate back and you die/respawn 8 seconds in, you would receive it back 7 seconds after respawning.

    I've thought of this idea in the past, however I came across one thing - Assassin's usually die if they fail their assassination attempt. This means that if cooldown did apply through death and respawn, Assassin would most of the time have to wait 13-14 seconds, which I think is a rather harsh time, considering you try to get back to the fight as soon as possible.

    I'd say 13-14 seconds seems fair. I hate it when I get killed by someone I literally killed 15 seconds ago.

    I'm surprised I actually like this idea since I'm an assassin main and I like things as op as possible :stuck_out_tongue: I think it is a good way to keep assassin a powerful recovery class, but also keeping it not as op as before especially on maps like skyworlds. +1

    I still think that would be a little too harsh. If this idea was to be, dying for Assassin would be an extreme risk that it cannot afford to take, which is going from one extreme to another, as now assassin's best friend is death. We need to find the optimal middle, which I think my idea resembles. However, I can see where you were going with this idea.

    True, however that does require some coordination. In team matches I can see that happening, not so much in casual matches. Still, thanks for the input and the suggestion!
