WAR 2.0 Huge gun update!

    Hello Soldiers!
    It's finally here, the gun changes!​
    Finally after all the nerfs and buffs that were suggested the war staff team got together to change a lot of the guns to both nerf and buff a lot of them, including the MG4!

    The following guns/lethals have been buffed:

    Intervention: The fire rate is quicker and the reload time has also been changed from 5 to 3.5 seconds.
    Magnum: The hip fire accuracy of the magnum has been significantly buffed.
    M9: The damage has been buffed.
    M93 Raffica: Has got 2 more bullets now so you don't get left over with 1 bullet in the last burst.
    Scar-H: Has been slightly upgraded in hip fire and clip size has been upgraded to 25 so it has more ammo in total as well.
    Grenade: The fuse time has been decreased so it explodes faster now. 5seconds to 3 seconds now.

    The following guns have been nerfed:
    Of course, the MG4: The damage has been nerfed.
    Ranger: Recoil/kb slightly increased.
    Striker: Recoil/kb added.
    M21 EBR: Now has 2 clips less (this is currently being looked at as some problems occured with this nerf)
    M9: Hipfire has been slightly nerfed.

    When are these updates live? These gun updates are in the game right now as you're reading this.


    Please share your opinion on the gun changes on what you think might be a bit too much of a nerf/buff or what you believe should be nerfed/buffed. We plan to add more nerfs and buffs in the future.
    Also huge thanks to @redslime for helping out.

    What these changes mean
    Intervention: a reload and minor fire rate buff will allow for more reliable quickscopes and a less painful reload time. This change was added since for an endgame weapon it is quite unpopular
    Magnum: This pistol now has a top tier hipfire accuracy which will now give it a unique advantage over the other pistols but not overshadow them due to its limited capacity
    M9: This pistol now deals 10.5 headshot damage and 7 bodyshot damage but now has a worse hipfire accuracy. The five-7 has been the pistol of choice for virtually all players with the M9 only being used till it could be replaced with the five-7 now with this damage buff it will be able to compete with five-7 and will give players more options while playing
    M93 Raffica: This is a minor change that will just make the gun more convenient to use as you will now have a full clip on the last clip
    Scar-H: This gun for an endgame weapon is lackluster so the war team has decided to increase its hipfire accuracy signifcantly along with its clip size to 25. What this means is that now players can reliably hipfire the weapon. The extra ammo gives players more options as they will not be forced to use scavenger to compensate for the Scar's lack of ammo any longer. This change has the potential to make scar a top tier weapon because it will be the only 2 shoting AR without stopping power.
    Grenade: The fuse time has been signicantly decreased because prior, grenades could be easily dodged now with this change they have a higher kill potential and it will be posible to time it so grenades explode instantly when they hit the ground.

    Nerfs
    MG4: The damage has been reduced to 7.8 headshot damage and 5.2 bodyshot damage. This means that it will now take 3 headshots or 4 body shots to kill. Before this the MG4 was overpowered as it could kill in 2 headshots, it was effectively an assualt rifle with stopping power but with more ammo and a free perk slot. These changes though a significant nerf will still allow the MG4 to be viable.
    Striker: recoil is added. This change will make it harder to strafe and bunny hop while shooting. The main nerf is the reduction in mobility while using this making the user an easier target.
    Ranger: Recoil increased. A minor nerf this nerf is more for realism and due to the rangers limited ammo capacity will not affect it significantly
    M21 EBR: Less ammo is a minor nerf that will not change any interactions. You will a total of 90 bullets now instead of 135
    M9: Because the M9 has recieved a damage buff the war team has felt that to prevent it from becoming too power its hipfire accuracy should be nerfed. Now this pistol is not the best hipfiring weapon but its scoped accuracy has remained the same.

    The ACR will likely be nerfed in the future, but the thing is, if the ACR is nerfed too much then the main incentive to level up is gone - discouraging players from even playing at all.

    We tried a lot of things but it’s hard to decide what exactly are the correct stats to not make it useless

    what I rly cant understand, is that u buffed m9 dmage but nerfed her hip fire accurency.
    Before it was that M9 was the high accurency pistol and 5-7 was the higher damage but less precice pistol. just fine. now both are nearly same :scream:

    Ice Bear says that the M9 still has the faster firerate compared to 5-7 but the 5-7 can 2 shot easier. There is still a trade off. We felt that if we kept the hipfire accuracy then it would be to powerful.

    no it wasnt. with the low damage was it just right. u needed at least 3 hits to kill and with 5-7 u could evan oneshot on close distance. In my opinion are the guns now worse than ever. Magnum, Scar and Raffica maybe even Intervention ( dont jave it jet ) got much better but those 2 guns are messed up now.
    And the fire rate is rly no big deal. the difference is so slight, that most players which are so low level that they need M9 wont evan notice the difference like me.

    It is impossible to one shot with a 5-7 unless they are already injured. With M9 now you can kill in 2-3 hits, it can kill faster than 5-7 if you land 2 headshots because it shoots faster. Raffica’s buff is minuscule all it got was 2 more bullets in its reserve ammo pool. Scar sucked before the buff and only one person (thesquook) really used it. The magnum was the worst pistol and gun in general and now it is actually useable. Ice Bear could count on one hand how many people used intervention (3) and now with the buff it is viable. Criticizing the intervention a gun you almost never see makes no sense.

    ok idk what u understand as criticize. I said that Magun Scar Rafficia and Intervention are better now. I complained just abou that 5-7 <=> M9 thing.
