Scout & Engineer2 changes - Pyro Feedback - Testing information

    Hello everyone, since Monday we have been testing a rework of Engineer and a new class called Scout, and we have received a lot of feedback from you guys. Thank you all for your time and ideas.
    We have done a couple of changes to both Engineer2 and Scout based on some of your feedback, let's get started:

    Engineer2:
    • Now has Protection I on all armor pieces
    • Healing Pillar is removed, instead an item which creates an aura around the player with the same effects is now replacing the pillar. Lasts for 5s and has a cooldown of 20s
    • Speed pad effect duration increased by 2s

    Scout:
    • Now has iron helmet + iron boots
    • Iron boots have Protection I and Thorns II
    • "Feather Boots" now reduce fall damage by 70%
    • Swapper cooldown down to 0.75s
    • Death tag is now restored after 20s after usage
    • Death tag is now restored when you kill somebody that is not death tagged (similar to how assassin restores the assassinate)

    Pyro Feedback:
    Two weeks ago we were also testing Pyro with an iron chestplate and asked you for feedback in-game and on Discord (Join the CTF Community Discord). The results were pretty clear: the majority liked the change, so this will be a part of the next update. Thanks for your input!


    A note on the current testing:
    We will be ending the testing session for Scout & Engineer2 on Monday, 25th of March. Please use the next 2 days for testing the tweaked Engineer2 and Scout. We're looking forward to your feedback.

    I dislike the new scount and chnages to engineer. I think ctf was good as it was

    Thanks, I hate it.

    But seriously, it now needs a serious buff because 20 seconds is way too long for a mere 5 seconds of regen III, half the time you can't even help your team with it because it doesn't last long enough. Maybe just give it regen I or II for as long as they hold it out like a shareable ninja-regen, if this is the way you wanna take it. Or you could amp up the regen time or tier. Either way it would be better than this though.

    It's actually 10s of regeneration as the regeneration effect will refresh every tick for 5s as long as you're within the aura. When the 5s ends, you still have another 5s of regeneration. That means you have a "real" cooldown of only 10s.

    No. Swapper does NOT need a faster cooldown.

    Personally I think engineer2 restoring steak in some way would be amazing, and would create an alternative to medic, which - lets be real- there's never been on CTF. If restoring steak isn't added (my idea was add one steak at a time once every 20 seconds by left clicking with the cake), then the regeneration should be increased by 1 tier (to regen 4).
    I also think that the protection buff has done quite a lot to help engi against ninjas, however, whilst it may not be necessary, I think a sharpness 1 addition to the pickaxe would help it gain viability.
