Archer/Pyro/Mage(I think) Counter: Poseidon

    Class Name: Poseidon

    Armor:
    • Diamond Helmet
    • Diamond Pants
    • Leather Boots
    Hotbar:
    1. Stick (Trident/Spear) - Sharpness X
    2. 2-3 Steak
    3. Fishing Rod
    4. Water Bucket
    Passives:
    • Underwater Breathing (duh)
    • Moves in water at the same speed as on land
    Abilities:
    • Right clicking your Trident will throw it in the same arc/speed as an arrow, dealing 1.5-3.5 hearts true damage (depending on the range, 30 blocks is 3.5). You have 3-4 uses of this before it goes on cooldown for 10ish seconds. This ability will help provide some long range damage on archers/other classes.
    • Fishing rod: Also in the same arc/speed as a fully charged arrow. Hooks enemy players to you, does 0 damage. Cooldown of 15 seconds.
    • Water Bucket: Left clicking the bucket erects a 2high x 4wide wall of water. Right clicking has a similar effect to elf water element, but in a larger radius and without resistance. Cooldown of 5-10 seconds. The idea of the wall is to counter ranged attacks such as archer arrows and mage spells. I would rather the ranged attacks be completely nullified rather than just dropping in the water or going through, soooooo coding plz help :smile:

    so this dude has a ****in stick that deals more damage (5.5 full hearts/hit) than a heavy's sword. nice

    I can just see like this shirtless mother****er yeeting around the map whompin the **** out *****s with his hot rod - I mean trident. That's what CTF needs instead of a Necro rework. Ripped grampa whompin eboys on mcBrawl the no.1 minecraft experience. Brilliant

    Also this dude throws a mother****ing trident at 30 blocks that's like half the map on blackout lmaooo what a chad

    Does he lose the trident like while he's throwing it or is this rework like, not ****, and he has his weapon at all times? (for melee combat and whatever) Also how big is this boi's dick. imma guess 9 inches cause i got as much sex as the whitehead grannies on bingo night (none whatsoever)

    How does the hook work? Like Thresh hook, Blitz Hook, Nautilus hook, Darius hook, Pyke hook (I play too much league). Basically, like what does it do lol. Like ik it hooks people, it's a hook. But how much does it pull them towards you? All the way or only part of it? How far does the hook go (10 blocks, 15)? Does it like stun the target or can they still take actions while hooked (idek how that would work). Can you hook to terrain - and say pull yourself toward that terrain by reactivating your hook? etc.

    Depending on how OP or not this ability is the cooldown should be adjusted accordingly.

    lowkey feel like this is discount elf shield although it offers slightly more interesting gameplay. Could also see this being a thing w/camping since you could like set up an engineer thingy and block archers or whatever trying to take out ur dudes

    ya know?

    also give this guy a sword already. he's not a useless oneshot bot like Pyro and he doesn't have lots of mobility. he's like a big sexy boi who's like down and dirty to get wet. Give him some suitability so he doesn't right clicked every 2 seconds

    anyway I'm curious what you were going for here. recovery class? defense? offense? midfield? trolling? I'm not feeling a direction here. He's just like the human moisturizer kinda runnin' around beating me harder than grandpa w/his big stick

    Honestly I put Sharpness X as a placeholder number to work on later but hey, 5.5 hearts per hit? Sure lmaaaoooo

    I wouldn't think he'd lose his trident when he throws it, but that could be a good nerf if he's op I guess lmao

    I was gonna say like a roadhog hook lmao maybe like a 15 block limit or so, pulls enemy like right next to you

    Discount elf shield is fine imo. It's on a cooldown, and I'd rather have it be able to just go down when you tell it to, rather than simply on a timer.

    I didn't give him a sword because he already has high armor, ranged attacks, and special abilities and counters 2 pretty important classes pretty hard.

    I was going for a defensive. . . offense class? Yes. A defensive offense class. Honestly midfield would be best for him, being able to take on the archer/other midfield as well as being able to move up to support offense or back to support defense. So kind of a multi-role class.

    It would be nice if we could use an actual trident, but everyone’s too much of a guppy to consider updating.

    Yeah tbh, dont wanna switch from 1.8.9 to 1.14 it’ll knock me off ctf and probs atleast a few others.
    That being said It seems like a good Class idea and Would be interesting to see. Altho inorder for this to be viable with 1.8.x through 1.14.x, the devs would need to add plugins/Mods to the server where items from both versions work. By adding these plugins/Mods they might see improvements for both versions but errors like Necro not working might appear (Altho errors with necro are different then what they’d be like with these “additions”)
    Honestly the idea of this class might work better in 1.15.x, since speculations of a new combat update which might be “liked” by the community and added then.

    This new combat update that’s coming in 1.15 is said to be disabling attacking at all while on cooldown, which I have a feeling will be hated more than the 1.9-1.14 mechanics, but that’s a discussion for another thread.

    Honestly just make a kit with full chain, 3 steaks, and a rod that works with the bucket plugins (hit someone and does damage to them). That kit would become unbalanced quickly even with its lack of gear and steaks
