Yes, let's bring back legacy!!! If not then at least a legacy event would be epic.

All Legacy will do is detract attention from 2.0 (a gamemode which already struggles to maintain a reasonable playercount). That's why it was removed and I'm against it being re-added for the same reason.

Splitting an already divided community will make it even harder for War to get the playercounts it needs for it to be fun, and reverting War back to legacy is not an option as it is almost impossible for us to update that gamemode.

As I've said many times before - re-adding or reverting back to Legacy War is the same as completely giving up on War.

2.0 isnt getting any attention anyway lmao if your staff team would listen to players you would understand how many want /legacy

first off nobody wants to update legacy and you are gonna give up the entirety of brawl anyway. The only reason you could be a SMOD on this server or even play here at all is because of mc-war! brawl exists because of mc-war and if i went back in time and removed it brawl would collapse.

"first off nobody wants to update legacy" war 1.0 was getting dull eventually, no gun updates, new guns or any updates at all. Of course the long wait for 2.0 also lowered the playercount but the lack of updates was a big factor in the lack of playercount towards the end of legacy as well.

The problem is is that I think the players dont exactly miss legacy all that much, but more miss the nostalgia and high playercounts. Sure legacy was more fun in certain ways but it's pay2win and wouldn't be attractive for newer players at all. (raygun crossbow minigun) only like 10-20 old legacy players (I've spoken to a lot myself as well over the last few months and lots have just moved on/ can't play anymore anways) would play maybe a few days, and after that it would die again, just like it did when we had the /legacy command.

Coming back to the pay2win, if players are new and get 1 shot blasted by miniguns rayguns and crossbows they would think it's unfair and we can't do much about since we can't make them purchasable again due to the EULA as well as making the game more fun with some changes would be impossible as well (code is very broken like mentioned before)

There's been several updates to War in the last 3 months - it is getting more attention than most other gamemodes.

If War is never updated, the gamemode would get stale and everyone will quit (as happened with Legacy). Brawl isn't going anywhere - it has been growing a lot recently, and while it's obviously no-where near the 3,000 players we used to hit, it doesn't have to be. Holding us to those standards makes no sense - we're not a large server, and haven't been for years.

Which is why we haven't given up on War by reverting to a version which can no longer be updated.

yeah ctf is getting 40+ and war is getting 1-3 players... sure its getting attention

well it was updated and look where we are now...

nobody asked you to give up, /legacy provides an alternative many players want.

I'm talking about attention from staff. CTF is getting more, as it has a very large and dedicated community (meaning many more staff applicants than other gamemodes) and has the biggest playerbase out of any of our gamemodes, but War is also getting frequent updates and events, and has a large staff team as well.

This is because War 2.0 was long overdue. By the time War 2.0 was released, the game was already stale and most of War's playerbase had already moved on. It also had to do with players not giving War 2.0 a shot - the majority of War players still around when 2.0 was released played 2.0 for a very small amount of time before completely dismissing it and not giving it a chance.

As you said before, War now has a very small playerbase. It regularly gets enough players for games to be enjoyable (15+ players), and this would no longer be possible if War's playerbase was split. It's either War 2.0, or Legacy War, not both. This will remain the case until War's playerbase grows.

brawls peak at this point is damn near 100 players if even. There is no hope for legacy or 2.0. it’s cool to see that people still support the server but it would really take a lot for the war servers and brawl in general to make a come back. i’d recommend you all find other hobbies.

Replaying Legacy after the release of 2.0 showed how dull it was. The only reason it seems better than 2.0 is because it used to have a big playerbase.

Only came on the forums to support ritzy and striker but yeah,

I've suggested an legacy event multiple times. With proper advertising and support behind it, it could bring back some of the OG players and have some massive numbers.

All that has to be done is bring back the server for a few hours, i'm pretty sure the war map is actually on my build maps so that shouldn't be a problem. Just have it like I used to do war fun sundays, simple.

I know this is all false hope but yeah, would be nice wouldnt it?

the community is already dead for war so theres no real loss in doing this event imo

I understand the reasoning behind your arguments. Splitting the "War community" doesn't seem that clever. But if you're honest to yourself, you gotta admit that there is no "War community" at all. Lately I've been playing a little bit Minecraft again and thought about hopping on Brawl. The last 5 times there were literally zero people on War's servers.
At this point it doesn't even matter if you guys split a non-existing community by bringing back a gamemode which cannot be supported or updated. The fight has been lost somewhere in 2014 or 15, War 2.0 has never had a chance. No offense to Totom or Signatured, they did an amazing job.

I am kinda surprised Putty is even paying his Minecraft bills. Probably just because of the past and the memories, cause this thing isn't bringing cash at all.
