Idea Holiday Themed Classes

    So i thought since there was holiday themed maps, we could have Holiday Themed Classes, these classes are exclusive only during the specific Holiday. like the month of December we could have a Santa Class and for Halloween we could have like a Ghost or something, Valentines day on February we could have Cupid or something. the classes don't have to be a defensive or offensive classes, they could just be fun to play classes. This is just a thought. and i hope it could happen some day.

    All jokes aside, that's really cool! It'd take some development, but I'd definitely love to see it happen. If we have the time and development tools, maybe we can fix old necro and make that a Halloween class? Or from the other end, we could just have them be objectively bad cosmetic classes, like fashionista but for seasonal events. That's a little less interesting but still more than we have now!

    If the classes have real gameplay value, it would be a great way to incentivize playing during an event (even for more hardcore pro gamer players). You could even get the class for free in a giveaway or contest, if you're lucky. I'm going to start brewing up ideas for seasonal classes, if any Brawl staff want to slide into my GD's (Google Docs). Or DM's, I guess. I just can't promise to take off my medic armor and role-play as a ninja for you. I think that was disabled a while ago.

    If it isn't abundantly clear, I'm 100% on board with this idea. If I weren't such a coward I'd tag staff members to get them to notice. I want this thread to blow up. This is amazing. Easily the coolest idea we've had since being able to import and export schematics to and from the Build server. Have the highest honor I can give you, Sir Bath of.. Bath: MVP Honor.

    +1 from me but this could take a long time to code and some players may not like the game to change just for a holiday

    Just another note that in very many cases (not really with Cardona's Cyro idea, since that's just a seasonal pyro rework), I'd love to see the classes become available for purchase during seasonal periods but perhaps remain available for use at other times. Maybe during the seasonal period, they cost less (with the probable exception of initial release)?

    I like this idea, but it would also work if we changed the color of leather armor on classes that have leather armor to match the holiday

    Building on the general "Holidays change things up a bit" topic, what if some of the particle effects were either changed up or added during the holiday periods -- for those who purchased the "CTF Holiday Package" or were lucky in a contest or who paid a high credit cost? I think it should be able to be toggled on and off too. Here are examples of what might be possible for each class (only the premium classes have examples that are more tailored or unique):


    Archer @ Halloween: Could gain a cooldown item that makes a burst of orange & purple (or black) particles around them.
    Archer @ Christmas: Could gain a cooldown item that makes a burst of red, green & white particles around them.
    Archer @ Valentine's: Could gain a cooldown item that makes a burst of pink & red particles around them.
    Archer @ Easter: Could gain a cooldown item that makes a burst of light blue, pink & yellow particles around them.

    Assassin @ Halloween: Assassinations that kill a player could have particle effects like black & orange "candies" bursting out.
    Assassin @ Christmas: Assassinations that kill a player could have snowflakes burst out.
    Assassin @ Valentine's: Assassinations that kill a player could have hearts burst out.
    Assassin @ Easter: Assassinations that kill a player could have eggs burst out.

    Chemist @ Halloween: Armor could be a bright orange helm and black boots.
    Chemist @ Christmas: Armor could be a red helm and green boots.
    Chemist @ Valentine's: Armor could be a pink helm and red boots.
    Chemist @ Easter: Armor could be a light blue helm and pink boots (light blue, yellow from the gold pieces, and pink as pastel colors)

    Dwarf @ Halloween: Could gain a cooldown item that can summon a Wolf* at their feet for a few seconds and then vanish/die.
    Dwarf @ Christmas: Could gain a cooldown item that can summon a Snowman* at their feet for a few seconds and then vanish/die.
    Dwarf @ Valentine's: Could gain a cooldown item that can summon a Pink Sheep* at their feet for a few seconds and then vanish/die.
    Dwarf @ Easter: Could gain a cooldown item that can summon a Rabbit* at their feet for a few seconds and then vanish/die.

    * These "pets" would not affect line of sight or be able to be targeted at all. Or...anything that happens to the pet from other players would happen to the Dwarf instead (like an assassination attempt, being ice blocked from a Mage, etc.)

    Elf @ Halloween: Armor pieces could be colored orange & purple (or black).
    Elf @ Christmas: Shield stars could be snowflakes or recolored to be red & green stars or white stars instead.
    Elf @ Valentine's: Pure Element shots could have little hearts burst out.
    Elf @ Easter: Shield stars could be recolored to be light blue stars, or light blue, pink & yellow stars.

    Engineer @ Halloween: TNT could look like a pumpkin.
    Engineer @ Christmas: TNT could look like a wrapped gift.
    Engineer @ Valentine's: Heal aura could be changed to an array of hearts.
    Engineer @ Easter: Heal aura could be changed to an array of eggs.

    Fashionista @ Halloween: Armor could be orange & black.
    Fashionista @ Christmas: Armor could be red & green.
    Fashionista @ Valentine's: Armor could be pink & red.
    Fashionista @ Easter: Armor could be light blue, pink & yellow.

    Heavy @ Halloween: Could gain a cooldown item that makes a burst of orange & purple (or black) particles around them.
    Heavy @ Christmas: Could gain a cooldown item that makes a burst of red, green & white particles around them.
    Heavy @ Valentine's: Could gain a cooldown item that makes a burst of pink & red particles around them.
    Heavy @ Easter: Could gain a cooldown item that makes a burst of light blue, pink & yellow particles around them.

    Mage @ Halloween: Damage spell bursts could be orange, or orange & purple.
    Mage @ Christmas: Ice blocks that hit players could burst out snowballs and snowflakes like the Lobby's Snowball Jetpack.
    Mage @ Valentine's: Heal spell use could have hearts burst out from the Mage.
    Mage @ Easter: Fire spell could be changed to look like eggs.

    Medic @ Halloween: Could gain a cooldown item that makes a burst of orange & purple (or black) particles around them.
    Medic @ Christmas: Could gain a cooldown item that makes a burst of red, green & white particles around them.
    Medic @ Valentine's: Could gain a cooldown item that makes a burst of pink & red particles around them.
    Medic @ Easter: Could gain a cooldown item that makes a burst of light blue, pink & yellow particles around them.

    New Necro @ Halloween: Skulls could look like skulls -- oops! I mean they could burst into orange & purple (or black) when they hit.
    New Necro @ Christmas: Skulls could burst into red, green & white.
    New Necro @ Valentine's: Skulls could burst into pink & red.
    New Necro @ Easter: Skulls could look like slow moving eggs and/or burst into light blue, pink & yellow particles when they hit.
    (Note: OLD Necro around the holidays was too difficult to think of ideas for since they wear armor that cannot be dyed other colors and their hotbar is completely full so no new items can be added with convenience for the players)

    Ninja @ Halloween: Smoke bombs that hit a player could have orange & purple (or black) particle effects.
    Ninja @ Christmas: Smoke bombs that hit a player could have red, green & white particle effects.
    Ninja @ Valentine's: Smoke bombs that hit a player could have pink & red particle effects.
    Ninja @ Easter: Smoke bombs could look like eggs -- oops! I mean the ones that hit a player could have light blue, pink & yellow effects.

    Pyro @ Halloween: The explosive bow shots at full drawstrength could have orange & purple (or black) particle effects burst out.
    Pyro @ Christmas: The explosive bow shots at full drawstrength could have red, green & white particle effects burst out.
    Pyro @ Valentine's: The explosive bow shots at full drawstrength could have pink & red particle effects burst out.
    Pyro @ Easter: The explosive bow shots at full drawstrength could have light blue, pink & yellow particle effects burst out.

    Scout @ Halloween: Death tagged players could "bleed" orange & purple (or black) instead of red.
    Scout @ Christmas: Death tagged players could "bleed" red, green & white instead of just red.
    Scout @ Valentine's: Death tagged players could "bleed" pink, red & white instead of just red.
    Scout @ Easter: Death tagged players could "bleed" light blue, pink & yellow instead of red.

    Soldier @ Halloween: Could gain a cooldown item that makes a burst of orange & purple (or black) particles around them.
    Soldier @ Christmas: Could gain a cooldown item that makes a burst of red, green & white particles around them.
    Soldier @ Valentine's: Could gain a cooldown item that makes a burst of pink & red particles around them.
    Soldier @ Easter: Could gain a cooldown item that makes a burst of light blue, pink & yellow particles around them.
