    Hello Raiders,

    I, along with some other members of the staff team, have come up with some proposed changes to the server and would like your views on them.

    QuickShop
    First of, let's start with something that I've already made a thread on earlier: QuickShop.
    What is QuickShop?

    QuickShop a shop similar to the mcpvp shop system that easily lets you buy, sell and check the price of items. It will consist of four commands, /buy, /sell, /count and /price.

    Please note: The current shop will not be replaced with this, even if it gets added. It will just be an extra feature for shop users. You can still access the traditional shop with /shop.

    This has been suggested multiple times, but I figured I'd make a proper thread on it, to get some opinions on it - so please leave your thoughts below and vote on the poll!

    Different commands

    As mentioned earlier, QuickShop has four commands:

    • /buy [amount] [item] [max price]
      • This command lets you quickly buy an item from the shop without having to enter the shop GUI. The max price parts indicates that you will not be able to buy the desired item for a higher price than the price you entered.
        • If the item entered in the command doesn’t exist, an error message will be displayed in chat: This item doesn’t exist!

        • If the item price is higher than the max price you entered an error message will be displayed in chat: The max price you entered is too low. This items lowest price is [price].

        • If the item isn’t in the shop an error message will be given: This item isn’t up for sale!

        • If you have insufficient funds and error message will be displayed in chat: You can’t afford this item! This item costs [price], your balance is only [balance].
    • /sell [amount] [item] [price]
      • This command lets you quickly put an item up for sale on the shop.
        • If the item entered in the command doesn’t exist, an error message will be displayed in chat: This item doesn’t exist!

        • If you do not have the item entered in the command in your inventory an error message will be displayed in chat: You do not have this item!

        • If you’re selling an item for a higher price than the lowest on the market a message will be displayed in chat: Are you sure you want to sell this item for [entered price]? The lowest price for this item is [price]. Type yes to continue.
    • /price [item] [amount]*
      • This command will show the current lowest price of an item. If an amount is entered, the lowest total price for amount would be shown instead.

      • If the item entered in the command doesn’t exist, an error message will be displayed in chat: This item doesn’t exist!

      • If the item isn’t in the shop an error message will be given: This item isn’t up for sale!
    • /count [item]*
      • This command will count the amount of the item (entered in the command) in your inventory. If no item is entered in the command the item in your held hand will be counted. The final result will be displayed in chat like this: You have [amount] [item](s).
        • If you do not hold an item in your hand nor enter an item in the command an error message will be displayed in chat: You did not enter an item to count!
    *Optional

    Restrictions

    You will not be able to use QuickShop if you are either:
    • Within 512 blocks of spawn without spawn protection
    • In combat (30 second combat timer)

    Enderpearl Changes
    People seem not to be quite satisfied with the enderpearl usage on the server, hence I'd like to discuss it. I, along with some other people have come up with a few proposed changes, they are the following:
    • Disable completely
    • Link ender pearls to combat tag (when the pearl lands)
      • This would be disabled in the end, where it would keep the current cooldown system
    • Disable completely in the overworld and the nether, but keep enabled in the end

    Booster Changes
    People also seem not to be quite satisfied with the boosters that we offer, especially the Speed and Haste booster. Therefore, we've come up with a few proposed changes that can fix this:
    • Nerf the Haste Booster by changing its effects to:
      • Haste I
      • Speed II
      • Strength II
      • Fire Resistance
    • Nerf the Haste Booster by changing its effects to:
      • Haste I
      • Speed II
    • Turn the Haste Booster into a PvP booster by changing its effects to:
      • Speed II
      • Strength II
      • Fire Resistance
    • Turn the Haste Booster into a PvP booster by changing its effects to:
      • Speed II
      • Strength II

    1.14
    Would you want the server to update to 1.14? A lot of people want it to, and therefore, we've come up with a few options if the server were to upgrade its version:
    • Full-on 1.14
    • 1.14 but with 1.8 PvP
    • 1.14 but with 1.8 PvP and without shields

    Enchanting
    I'd like your views on enchanting, how would you like it to be? Choose one of the following:
    • 1.8 Enchanting
    • 1.7 enchanting, but with hints and lapis lazuli (like it is currently)
    • 1.7 enchanting, without hints but with lapis lazuli (this would require a custom GUI)
    • Full-on 1.7 enchanting (this would require a custom GUI)

    Miscellaneous
    Some smaller changes that I'd like some opinions on:
    • Make it impossible to recraft using melons
    • Make the recrafts require three slots (bowl+melon+melon, bowl+cactus+cactus, ... )
    • Disable Mushroom Cow respawning

    Haste booster into haste1 speed2
    not 1.14, make it 1.7
    full 1.7 enchanting
    Make crafting soups only with mushrooms
    Make it hardcore!

    Fix this, it is /sell [amount] [item] [price for full quantity]

    Also, remove the combat timer- that is stupid. The shop has always been there and was always usable in pvp, not near spawn. If you are going to say 'oh but macros' then you should be on the lookout for people using macros more. There are so few people playing, it would not be hard to catch a player who used a macro to buy soup. Also, this is why stacked soup exists. It isn't this OP thing for carrying mass soups (literally 1 inv slot less than melons and bowls and no easier to use, for the record). If a player macros to buy soup, then this means they MUST go into their inv and spread it out. Same with pots. Bam, problem solved.

    Haste 3, speed 2, mining fatigue 1 for 2 seconds IF a player breaks stone. Easy fix, mice obby booster that isn't use to a man with a beacon, and not op for ores.

    This. And no salvaging.

    Both of these are very good. Not just melons. Recrafting should only be with mushrooms for this server. Other recrafts were just hg add ins for biome issues. Moosh cows were never able to respawn, making them valuable af. They can be bread but took 35 levels to cap.

    What you missed-
    Disable villager spawners and pigman spawners for real this time???
    Disable spawner changing fully- this isn't op factions.
    Some way to fix villager system for op books.

    Add quickshop
    Disable pearls fully, because they make kiting a lot easier
    Nerf the haste booster (maybe remove the haste 2 effect when mining stone), fix the xp booster
    Make the server 1.14, with 1.8 combat
    Disable mushroom cow respawning
    Make the recrafts require three slots (bowl+melon+melon, bowl+cactus+cactus, ... )

    -Remove pigman spawners. (Necro has 15-20k from AFKing, and that should never be a method of winning the gamemode)
    -Keep villager spawners (I know the rest of the server hates them but it allows enchanted books to be more accessible)
    -Remove loot from KOTH/end events, and make the prize for KOTH to be a week of Elite, and for The End to be experience and the dragon egg. The amount of top enchant floating around on the server by a handful of players is insane.
    -Keep 30 levels of xp for level 3 enchant
    -Yes 1.14, but remember all the stuff that comes with it and how it could break the gamemode (Elytra and Shulkers come to mind, if they are accessible)
    -ADVERTISE. Please.
    -Yes on shop changes
    -No on booster changes.
    -Ender chest at spawn (like this map and if you don’t know where it is, lol)

    A lot of you are addressing pigmen and villager spawners - they will be disabled.

    1.) Gold is not winning the gamemode.
    2.) Why do you insist that I have ALL of my gold from gold farming? I made the quad the exact day you raided it, and deposited 1k from it. I'm still ahead of you after removing that. I made my gild from selling expensive items I got from raiding people, that I do not need because I don't use them much. You keep insisting I cheated to beat you. Just accept the fact you are #2 on baltop and stop being so salty about it, because I did it legit, the proper way.

    I honestly like /sell [item] [amount] [price for only one] more, and price for full quantity will just make things confusing

    This is how you make most of your gold, along with ender pearls, so it makes sense you want them to stay. The fact is, this causes gear inflation. Accessibility is NOT what hardcore is about. This is a hardcore survival gamemode, not a socialist empire aiming to make everything equal in difficulty.

    As in remove 3 levels for an enchant? You seem to not like the basic idea of hardcore raid servers.

    Why? They are terrible for the general play of the game. Everyone is loaded. That is not good.

    Alright, acceptable, but that's not the only change. It goes /sell THEN amount THEN item THEN price, not the way you have it.

    Necro @Colonel_Graff knows what hes talkin about hes been playing brawl for alot of years only to earn as much gold as possible

    Melon, I've been playing raid servers for some years now. I joined late last map and got 10k gold before making a gold farm, all in under a month including my startup time. I know what I am talking about, I know how to make gold, and I know what a cheap use of a bad feature in the gamemode.

    Just remove it if you want haste plave a beacon. The only custom thing of a mining booster is that it is accessible everywhere. not only in a certain radius. So noone will buy it if its not for mining since beacons are free. Also haste 3 is wayyyy too op

    Add quick shop.
    I'd say make obby gold farm still available but no zombie pigman, villager, enderman, or change the ability to change spawners
    Refills are good the way they are, including all the raid players are used to 2 slots.
    Make enderpearls have a longer cool down.
    Change the haste booster to haste 1 with speed 1
    Make it the same enchanting. With required lapis lazuli

    If I am being honest, I do not really care what current raid players are 'used to'. Quite frankly, this is one argument that I completely disagree with and give no merit at all. Today's raid players are 'used to' spawner changes, free loot every Saturday, gold farms, among many other things. So, saying something should stay just because raid players are 'used to' it holds no water.

    I believe that making refilling like hunger games is just nerfing pvp in the gamemode. As someone who frequently gets sauced in pvp, I still think that players should not be able to refill their inventory by any means, unless they want to farm mushrooms. This was the way it was for over 5 years, and it was never problematic. Adding HG style refills is part of the reason pvp has changed the way it has.
