Idea Shorten games a little if not many people are on?

    I don't know about most people but if there's only 5-6 people on then I tend to get bored 5-6 minutes into a round and just want to move on to the next map, so since War is getting some updates, what about shortening the game timer of everything but OITC and DEMO to 7 minutes (instead of 10) if less than 10 people are on the server when the game starts?

    This is something I have also thought about, and often if I am on will cut the timer during things like TDM from 10 minutes to 5 if there are not that many players. Will for sure add this to the list!

    I've been thinking the same at times. One reason why this is good is because it will (probably) make the game feel more balanced, where unfair matches where one team has all good players (which is more likely to happen with few players on) are shorter.

    However, instead of shortening the timer maybe there should be a lower requirement to win the game, for example only 100 kills in tdm, and 500 points in demo.

    For TDM there could be a set amount of kills to win a round based on the amount of people on. It would probably be smart to set it based on increments of five players, which would mean for every multiple of five players the amount of kills to win would change. For example, the amount to win could be calculated with 10 x n, where n = 5, 10, 15... ; if 1-5 players are online when the game starts, then the amount to win would be 50 kills.


    The reason it should be based on increments of five is to balance the game. Because players can leave or join a game whenever they want to, having an approximation is better than one based on a single value at a random time. The amount should also be calculated at the start of the game to avoid confusion. While this could make a game too long or too short, it’s better than having no such thing or having it change during the game.
