Idea Dwarf Rework lul

    Hi I've been back for 5 days so I don't have the right to think I can come up with a better dwarf than all the regs but I'm going to do it anyway.

    Le Dwarf Rework

    Armor: leather tunic, chain pants
    Hotbar:
    Dwarf Sword (Iron Sword)
    4 Steak

    In my perspective, Dwarf's main problem is that it's stupidly underwhelming in 80% of scenarios and stupidly overwhelming in the rest. You can usually outmaneuver a Dwarf but if you can't you're dead. My aim is to fix this while keeping the "shift to win" gameplay. That being said, let's get into the ability I've come up with to replace the snowballing mechanic:

    Counter Shield - While crouching, a shield is generated that blocks all damage. This shield has a maximum duration of 3 seconds and a cooldown of 6 seconds. Additionally, each time the shield takes a hit the Dwarf will receive a temporary buff, max 2 stacks:
    0 hits: On releasing shift, enemies will be knocked back slightly.
    1 hit: On releasing shift, a tnt explosion will occur, dealing damage to enemies and knocking them back.
    2 hits: On releasing shift, a charged creeper explosion will occur, dealing more damage and more knockback.

    This ability makes Dwarf a lot more mobile while still feeling heavy, meaning it's useful in more than just a tight flagroom. it's now a versatile crowd control option for any position. Seeing as this ability can be admittedly pretty OP, I've decided to balance it by giving Dwarf very little armor, so it relies on teamwork to make up for its downtime, just like how every class should be good on their own and great in a team. That is the point of CTF, after all.

    Anw this is just a thing I came up with during Economy class, I'm open to tweaks and people telling me my idea's rubbish cuz ngl I haven't played a match in 2 years I mean what the hell is Scout anyway and why does Engi have nukes and Necro nukes but that give you time to realise you're gonna die??? (I actually think they fit the theme well but holy **** the Geneva Convention exists for a reason) (also I'm not bashing Scout I think the switching thing is neat af I just have no idea how Death Tag works also I keep mistaking them for assassins and vice-versa)

    Being a core defense class, the only reliable support you would get in comp is the normal mobility of Pyro and potentially a Medic depending on the match size. While it would prove useful for neutralizing hard pushes from offense, most of the time it would just disrupt the Pyro or sit there and not really do much. Also, with the retention of limited mobility, it's pretty restricted on supporting a carrier unless the holding spot is near the flag & open enough for the crowd control to be effective.

    The limited mobility is gone though, the only moments the dwarf has to sneak is briefly to activate the ability. This lets Dwarf take up any role (to varying degrees of effectiveness compared to other classes, of course). It has an iron sword so even without buffs it does decent damage, and if the offense fights back it'll be about as easy to get a buff as it is for assassin to get an instakill. Not only that, but the Dwarf now has the ability to disrupt the offense a lot more, in the flagroom or when roaming. Support would likely be its best role due to the fact that it can body shield the recov efforts and that lets it push them far away from the carrier, this can apply both while crossing the map and during stalemates.

    Obviously the idea will need some tweaks in the armor and damage/knockback levels from the counter shield, but I believe the idea in of itself is a better and far more fun way to play Dwarf.
