    HEY @RAIDERSSSS,

    We are very excited to finally be able to announce the new upcoming Raid map! We are on the second iteration of our 1.16 maps, and we have come up with some very exciting changes that'll help balance out the map and bring new and exciting things for our players to enjoy. So, without further ado, let's get right into it.

    For the reset, the world you have PvPed in, made your bases in, tracked & raided in will be replaced by a fresh, new world, full of new possibilities. This means all bases, items, warps, teams, and gold will be gone with the reset.

    You will not keep anything but your player rank! In addition to this, some big changes are coming out in the new map - See below.

    For those players who are new to Raid, or Hardcore Survival servers, here is a shortlist of Raid's features:
    • The ability to track other players by building trackers
    • A shop to sell any kind of item to other players
    • Mob stacking to simplify experience farms and reduce lag
    • A custom spawn with protection to provide an environment for players to meet and prepare for PvP
    • The ability to capture mobs with eggs and levels
    • A weekly KOTH Event
    • The ability to change spawners to different mob types with dragon eggs
    • Fish

    ☰ What's New?

    Here's the part that most of you've all been waiting for. After having extensive amounts of conversations with our community and staff team we have compiled a list of changes that we hope will bring excitement and balance to the new world.

    We have decided to implement a Japanese/Asian-inspired spawn that implements 1.16 blocks that are aesthetically pleasing whilst maintaining a good environment for PvP.

    We have also completely revamped our koth world to reflect our spawn-theme. Alongside this we have completely revamped the way koths work as well. Special thanks to Synergy for coming up with this system!

    How KOTH Will Work (Progressive Scoring System):
    • The fundamentals of the KOTH stay the same. You must stand on a platform without getting knocked, accumulate points, and the first team to reach the required amount of points wins.
    • However, the way to gain points has changed drastically.
      • You will now only require 300 points to win a KOTH.
      • Multiple teams may capture at the same time ("/koth points" will display a leaderboard).
      • Someone on your team must stand on the KOTH for 30 seconds in order to gain 5 points at a time. (Essentially 5 points per thirty seconds of standing on the KOTH - minimum amount of 30 minutes in order to get 300 points).
      • You will not lose points if you are knocked from the KOTH. The only way to lose points is if a team member dies. If a team member dies inside of the KOTH world your team will lose 25 points, and if a team member dies outside of the KOTH world, your team will lose 10 points.
    • Chorus fruit and GApples are disabled in the KOTH world.
    • Removed Death ban.
    • Recrafting soups are reenabled.
    • /shop and /buy are enabled.
    • There is now an exit portal that you may kite from that is covered in cobwebs to make it difficult to escape. It will spawn you south of spawn. Otherwise, warping is still enabled inside of the world.

    We have made some changes to teams and team challenges/points in order to improve gameplay.
    • Reduced Team Cap to 5, but can be upgraded to 6 using team points (read below).
    • Added Team Challenges Milestone Rewards that will require team points and gold to unlock:
      • Tier I: AQUA (OG) Team Chat Color. (100 Gold, 100 Team points)
      • Tier II: Unlocks all team chat colors. (200 Gold, 175 Team points)
      • Tier III: Unlocks Additional Team warp (3 -> 4). (300 Gold, 250 Team points)
      • Tier IV: Rainbow Team Color. (300 Gold, 500 Team points)
      • Tier V: Unlocks Additional Team warp (4 -> 5). (400 Gold, 750 Team points).
      • Tier VI: Unlocks Additional Team warp (5 -> 6) (400 Gold, 1000 Team points).
      • Tier VII: Increases the Team cap by one (5 -> 6). (500 Gold, 1250 Team points)
    • The gold required to unlock these advancements will come out of the balance of whoever unlocks it.

    Alongside our major changes, we have made a few quality of life changes that will further balance out the game.
    • Removed the AFK Tag
    • Reverted Iron Golem drop rates
    • Nerfed God Pickaxe to have Efficiency V instead of Efficiency VI
    • Added a "top team showcase" which will display the previous maps' top team player's character models at spawn. Similar to the Party leaderboard below.

    I would disagree - the updated KOTH will make the event a lot more balanced and exciting and the team challenges add more purpose to grinding with your team.

    Also, some of the "smaller" changes actually make significant differences in terms of how the gamemode will run. For example, team cap being smaller changes the dynamic of who players choose to truce and enemy, roles within teams, etc. Reverting iron golem drop rates and removing the afk tag make tracking and carefully grinding a lot more motivating.

    Dammit and I just got to the top of the leaderboard.

    Screw duping, report bugs folks. The duped gold and items were cancer this map, I also hated competing with farmed gold for baltop.

    Netherroof travel needs to go, along with special items IMO but whatever.

    I’m flooding shop with cheap pots and enchant for the next week, hoping to hit 40-50k. Good luck boys.

    Yup, still 1.16. Why in the world? Old players not coming back, either am i. Some new players who will run around spawn, ayyy.

    I won't argue that Raid was in a bad position.. But we could do two things

    - Stay on 1.8 and accept a slow eventual death
    - Update to 1.16 and fight for a mew better raid.

    Things may not have gone quite to plan, but the decision to update was definitely a good one.

    It's gone worse :grinning: People enjoyed playing on 1.18. It was pvp hardcore server... it's not that anymore so stop advertising this server as ''mcpvp''

    One of the main reasons is pvp on raid and now it's ****ed. How the **** is ****ed good update?

    Yes things hasn't gone quite plan. So start listening the community! It's still not going into the good direction.

    I kinda agree with Tuumai. Ik It was supposed to attract new players but look at the state of the gamemode rn. we got only a single 5 man team, some duos, and solos. New players rather build dirt houses than learn how to play the gamemode and spam your ass when they lose their stuff. I know you're not gonna change it back to 1.8 but at least revalue the situation right now.

    And people are not even getting excited of new map anymore. I can't see any positive comment on this post. Doesn't that ring any bells :grinning:?

    Well see how well they did with fixing bugs. Since they declined my offer to help them out and instead banned me i reckon it will be fun.
